JAMES WEBB SPACE TELESCOPE
$10 Billion to build and it is 100x more powerful than the Hubble telescope.
Finished and passed its final test in October 2020 and launched in October 2021. Webb telescope is able to see what the universe looked like around a quarter of a billion years (possibly back to 100 million years) after the Big Bang, when the first stars and galaxies started to form to further understand our universe. It is still giving us a lot of information on how the early universe was like. This telescope is giving us crystal clear pictures of some of the earliest stars in the universe and better understanding of how universe came to be.
One kilowatt is about what it takes to heat up some leftovers in a microwave — or to power the largest and most technically advanced telescope ever built. Thanks to its solar array, NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope will stay energy-efficient more than 1 million miles (1.5 million kilometers) from Earth.
GLOBAL SATELLITE for GLOBAL INTERNET: STARLINK
By 2030, Internet will be available to almost 92% of the geographical location in the world (even to 3rd and 4th world countries) at a reduced affordable subscription costs due to launches of global satellite throughout the world. Currently less than 150 satellites have been launched; There will be over 2,500+ satellites launched by SpaceX in Low Earth Orbit around 2030’s. The minimum internet speed will be 1.8 Gbps (It will make 5g and even 6g affordable).
MOST EFFECTIVE VARIETIES OF ROCKET PROPULSION SYSTEMS
From designing aerodynamics suitable for achieving fastest speeds to building and testing various different rocket propulsion systems in the coming decades which will allow us to have different methods and uses of advanced fuel efficient rocket propulsion systems such as: plasma engine, solar-renewable energy, solar-electric, helium powered fusion rocket, nuclear thermal propulsion systems etc.. It will also have better liquid, gas, solid fuel system for smaller and complex engagements of booster controls which will decrease travel distance time and increase speed altogether. This will be implemented by SpaceX when we send humans to Mars to build colonization as well as setting up moon base by NASA for the future.
INCREASED ENERGY CONSUMPTION SUSTENANCE
The 2010’s saw the rise of electric cars, solar energy, clean electricity, energy storage; the 2020’s will see the rise of clean energy that will be very cheap where shifting to clean energy and mobility is cheaper than continuing to use existing coal, gas, or oil infrastructure. Before the plan to go to Mars, we will develop technology to convert different elements into oxygen and other efficient ways to utilize energy consumption and storage for long-term use such as advanced reusable rocket thrusters to Mars and reusable resources in order to to achieve full colonization of Mars within the coming decades.
Solar-Electric Propulsion
Growing reusable soil and other resources to be able to use on Mars
INCREASE IN CROWDFUNDING PRIVATE RESEARCH PROJECTS
There will be a vast increase in crowdfunding research made by private companies by next decade. Crowdfunding is a form of alternative finance that involves raising monetary contributions from a large number of people — usually online — to collectively fund a project or venture by different investors. Pre-release access to content, or the opportunity to beta-test products, can be offered to project backers as part of the funding incentives. The democratization of fundraising through crowdfunding is a major breakthrough for entrepreneurs and non-profit organizations, allowing them to outmaneuver larger companies and corporations. Some of the more ambitious projects being crowdfunded include satellites and space probes; This will help in effectively improving private research in creating innovative technologies for powerful telescope, satellites, spaceships, etc. that will emerge advancing space technologies for the future.
DEVELOPING BLUEPRINTS AND DIAGRAMS FOR ASTEROID MINING
A first complete blueprint needed to build an asteroid mining project will be finished by the end of decade to properly build a space-rocket that will be eligible to mine asteroids and pave the way for future. It might use steam propulsion system for efficient booster controls with advance techniques and maneuvers to land on asteroids. However drilling, dissecting, and extracting viable minerals and chemical compounds for resources in an abundant amount will be a difficult task to achieve that might be possible in 2–4 decades of proper research and creation of such advance technology.
Furthermore, it might still take time for passage of legislation that recognizes the right of companies to prospect, claim, and extract space-based resources with correct procedures and guidelines.
All of these technologies will help mankind achieve advancements in knowledge and space travel due to cheaper costs because the infrastructure (foundation) will be laid for space travel to help become a multi-planetary species in future. An increase of digital information will be flowing from anywhere in the world as well as high energy reduction costs, and better renewal energy of rocket propulsion systems that will benefit mankind in the coming future of space travel.
